Description
This is the last digimon evoline for a now, I have to take a longer break now because there is stuff I actually really have to work on. I just wanted to get the evolines done until this point, because all the digimon I've finished now are what I consider my "newer digimon" - digimon I created after upper secondary school and weren't around for the first digimon redrawing project.
Spinemon is a digimon who has actually been around for a long time, but for the longest time I struggled with his evoline and couldn't get any ideas for how it should go, so since I liked his design anyway, I made him the core of my first Xros team because he wouldn't need an evoline then. Well, soon after, his natural evoline followed. Spinemon's evoline logic is basically "reverse Gabumon" - Gabumon is a reptile digimon who becomes a wolf, Spinemon is a mammalian beast digimon who becomes a dinosaur/dragon. His deal is also sturdy armor and sharp things.
I redesigned Syrmomon from the last time I drew him because before he looked all awkward, so I made his bodybuild a lot more ankylosaur-like. I guess otherwise I kept his stuff the same! The only totally new one here is Vernierdramon, but man, I am happy with him. I wanted to make him distinct enough from Spinemon's high-level Xros forms, I hope I succeeded.

Needlemon
Name Origin: English. Needle.
Level: Baby I.
Type: Lesser.
Attacks
- Chilli Bubble - shoots bubbles out of his mouth - the bubbles emit heat on contact.
Personality: Energetic little fellow, he enjoys warm places.
Trivia: A baby digimon covered in soft fur. Its Digicore is really hot.
Pricklemon
Name Origin: English. Prickle.
Level: Baby II.
Type: Lesser.
Attacks
- Spicy Bite - attacks the foe with a hot bite, emitting heat from his mouth on contact.
Personality: Energetic and outgoing, he really loves attention and having fun.
Trivia: Young digimon with multiple horns on its head. Its tail is covered in sharp needles, so it should be treated carefully.
Spinemon
Name Origin: English. Spine.
Level: Child.
Attribute: Vaccine.
Type: Beast.
Family: Dragon's Roar, Nature Spirits.
Attacks
- Spine Bomber - sets the quills at the tip of his tail ablaze and shoots fireballs from it.
- Panzer Quill - rollouts into the foe. Might also set himself on fire.
Personality: Spinemon is a brave digimon who won't think twice before accepting a challenge. He never gives up and never surrenders. Very lively and enjoys being the center of attention. Having a fiery personality, he's also quite temperamental, and is easily irritated - though it takes a lot to get him really, REALLY mad. Has a strong sense of justice, and will never turn his back on those who need help. He admires his partner, Ru and is really proud to be his partner, looking up to him like a big brother figure. He often wants to take the leader role, and it might be due to him being the core digimon of Spitfire army.
Trivia: Porcupine-shaped digimon with spiked armor covering its body. It's usually found on hot areas like volcanoes. Although it's not that special yet, Spinemon is said to be a digimon with great potential. It can evolve like a normal digimon, but if it's used as a base of DigiXrossing, the results will be amazing.
Syrmomon</span>
Name Origin: Syrmosaurus is the old name for Pinacosaurus, a medium-sized ankylosaurid.
Level: Adult.
Attribute: Vaccine.
Type: Dinosaur.
Family: Dragon's Roar, Nature Spirits.
Attacks
- Volcano Bomber - shoots fireballs from his mouth.
- Terrible Hammer - attacks the foe with the hammer on his tail.
- Fire Booster - covers himself in fire and charges at the foe.
Personality: The same as Spinemon, really.
Trivia: This Dinosaur digimon lives in hot volcanic areas. It has a sturdy armor with lots of spikes. Though its armor is hard and heavy, because it isn't very large for a dinosaur digimon, it's also fairly fast. It wields a hammer made of stone on its tail as a weapon.
EngineSyrmomon
Name Origin: English, engine. Syrmosaurus.
Level: Perfect.
Attribute: Vaccine.
Type: Cyborg.
Family: Dragon's Roar, Metal Empire.
Attacks
- Fire Booster Knuckle - fire and smoke spouts out of the holes on his hands and collar. His hands become covered in flames, and he proceeds to beat the foe with fiery fists.
- Tail Hacking - physically attacks the foe with the sharp Chrome Digizoid axe on his tail.
- Spine Missile - shoots the spikes on his back and neck at the foe as heat-seeking projectiles that explode on contact. Shot spikes immediately grow back, so EngineSyrmomon isn't left naked without spikes.
Personality: The same as Spinemon, really. Spinemon is apparently one of those digimon whose personality doesn’t really change when they evolve.
Trivia: Reptile-like digimon with sturdy armor and fire generators located on its forearms and neck area. It is strong and durable and though it's not all that fast and can't fly, its Spine Missile attack allows it to cover a lot of ground in a fight.
Vernierdramon
Name Origin: English. Vernier thruster is a type of thruster used in spacecrafts for altitude control. Dragon.
Level: Ultimate.
Attribute: Vaccine.
Type: Dragon Man.
Family: Dragon’s Roar.
Attacks
- X-Caliburn – creates a fiery aura around the Chrome Digizoid sword on his tail, and either slashes it directly at the foe, or slashes the air with it, creating fiery energy arcs to fly at the foe. The tail blade is quite effective on its own as well, being Chrome Digizoid.
- Dragon Booster – fire and smoke shoots out of all the holes in Vernierdramon’s armor, covering him completely is superheated flames, and he charges at the foe full speed, delivering a fiery hot bodyslam.
- Dragonfire Stream – shoots beams of superheated fire directly at the foe from the holes on his armor. Vernierdramon’s only real ranged attack, and even this attack will be used on close range as well for maximum damage.
Personality: The same as Spinemon, really.
Trivia: Dragon Man digimon clad in top-class fireproof armor, it wields a Chrome Digizoid sword, X-Caliburn, on its tail. It is equipped with four vernier thrusters that allow it to fly at amazing speeds. It is a balanced fighter with amazing power, durability and speed. Spinemon’s full potential is finally realised as Vernierdramon.
