Commission Info 2019 by Gomis
Click for full size, that preview is tiny.

Here’s some commission info!

To commission me, email me at manticorecat@gmail.com or contact me via private messages on tumblr, twitter, instagram or dA and tell me the type of commission you are interested in, provide references (if applicable), and additional requests (poses etc.).

Money transfers will be done through Paypal! Bank transfer is also available for Finnish people.
The prices are given in EUROS, since that’s the currency I use in day-to-day life and the one I can wrap my head around the best.
You don’t have to pay me until I have started sketching, but I won’t move from sketching to inking until you have paid me. For commissions that lack a sketching phase (such as a sketchbook page), payment must be sent before I start.
If you have second thoughts, I’ll refund your money in full if I am only at the sketching stage, and in half if I have already proceeded to inking. No refunds will be given if I’m already in coloring phase and beyond. If you have commissioned me for designs and I have already started designing stuff, I won’t refund the designing fees.

I am willing to mail the originals to the commissioner worldwide! If you want the originals mailed to you, tell me. It costs a bit extra.

If you’d like to commission something not featured in the price list, you can always ask me about it and we can figure something out!
The prices provided above are for personal commissions - ask me about commercial work privately!

I reserve the right to refuse any commission. Generally this is reserved for subject matter I am not comfortable working with, or rude customers.

The commissioner receives the right to use the artwork any way they want - except commercially. If I have designed a character for you, you therefore own the character and its design. I’d like to be credited as a joint creator, but otherwise the character is yours. If you no longer want to keep a character I have designed for you, contact me. With my consent, you are allowed to sell the design again, but not for more money than what you paid for it.

Things I can draw and enjoy drawing:

  • original characters of many varieties: humans, anthros, animals, creatures, monsters, robots, etc.
  • fantasy armor and weapons
  • fan characters or fanart of shows/games/etc. I am familiar with.
  • couples of any sexuality
  • mild gore and horror themes
  • nature landscapes

Things I am less skillfull with (and might ask extra fees for, and take longer to draw):

  • urban landscapes with buildings and such
  • vehicles such as cars and motorcycles
  • guns

Things I will not draw:

  • racist/sexist/homophobic/transphobic etc. content
  • sexual nudity, porn etc. - the most hardcore stuff I am willing to draw is bare boobs
  • fetish artwork
  • fanart of shows/games/etc. I am not familiar with – I am too anxious I’ll mess something up

COMMISSION TYPES AVAILABLE

Simple Digital Artwork – fullbody 50 euros (+ 20 euros per extra character, max 3 characters), bust 20 euros (+10 euros per extra character, max 2 characters per bust)

Simple, shaded digital artwork with a simple background or no background. Ideal for character reference! Reference art heavily preferred, without references I will charge you 10 - 20 euros extra for designing a character for you.

Simple Traditional Artwork – fullbody 60 euros (+20 euros per extra character, max 3 characters), bust 30 euros (+10 euros per extra character, max 2 characters per bust)

Simple traditional artwork, no background or simple background. I can work with Copic markers, watercolors, liquid inks or colored pencils traditionally, or a mixture of these – the chosen media doesn’t affect the prices. Paper size is A4 for fullbodies, and A5 for busts. (A3 paper might be an option if there are too many people in a picture.) Reference art heavily preferred, without references I will charge you 10 - 20 euros extra for designing a character for you.

Traditional Illustration – A4 size 100 euros (+20 euros per extra character), A3 size 150 euros (+20 euros per extra character).

Illustration means there’s a background involved, either an actual landscape or a decorative, more complex background. Whereas the simple artwork is more about character standing around, this often involves them doing something. Base idea is that characters portrayed are more or less fullbody shots. I can work with Copic markers, watercolors, liquid inks or colored pencils traditionally, or a mixture of these – the chosen media doesn’t affect the prices. A4 size is the default paper size, but A3 is recommended for bigger scenes. Reference art heavily preferred, without references I will charge you 10 - 20 euros extra for designing a character for you.

Character Design and Concept Art – 30 euros

I design you a character! That’s pretty cool! No references needed, you just tell me what you want and I design you a character. Be as detailed with your description and wishes as you like. This includes, more or less, some design sketches/rough concepts, and a finished flat color digital piece or rough-colored traditional piece, whichever you’d prefer.

Sketchbook Page – 15 euros (+10 euros for a colored sketch)

I fill one or two sketchbook pages with pencil sketches of your character! Turnarounds, headshots or small action doodles. I can make a bigger fullbody or ¾ body doodle colored with watercolors or colored pencils for an extra 10 euros.

Digimon Evoline Art – 100 euros for a full evoline, 40 euros for Baby – Adult evoline

Digimon Evoline Design and Art – 150 euros for a full evoline, 70 euros for Baby – Adult evoline

Digimon evoline art! Shaded digital art with no background or simple background, including a simple evoline template background. A size chart can be added free of charge on your request! For digimon with pre-existing designs, reference art is needed, and evoline art for Baby I, Baby II, Child and Adult digimon is 40 euros, and a full evoline from Baby I to Ultimate is 100 euros. For a single digimon design, designing fees add 10 euros, and baby forms come free with a Child-level design, or cost 5 euros for two baby forms.
If you want me to design a full digimon line, and draw evoline art for them, full designs and evoline art from Baby I to Adult is 60 euros, and from Baby I to Ultimate is 130 euros.

For more forms (Super Ultimate, alternative forms, Armor forms etc.) add 10 euros per digimon to the price if drawn from references, and 20 euros per digimon if it’s a design commission.

Phew, I don't write a lot here nowadays, huh? I usually ramble about my nonsense in tumblr nowadays and just write about Big Things here.
This next one is mostly copy pasted from tumblr too but it's relevant anywhere!

I want to write a bit about my goals, art-wise, for 2016. Call them New Years’ resolutions if you will, but anyway, personal goals for art!

I hope I can follow them through.

Project Goals

  • The same as last year, keep up an update phase with Ghost Syndrome, try to draw at least 5 pages a month so you wouldn’t run out of buffer. Maybe try to draw a bit of extra at the start of the year so you could wrap up Chapter 2 soon!
  • This year’s smaller project is Needed Ref Drawing Project, or just Ref Project - I’ll try to draw some updated refs for some characters in need of them. I think I’m going to try to do at least one character per month, but the details of the deadlines for this are still under construction in my head, because…
  • …I’d also want to try to do like a “monthly challenge” thing - not like one of those “draw thing X on day Y”-things, but rather that at the start of each month I make a “to draw”-list and try to follow through with that as well as I can. Some months could be like, looser theme months such as “this month, draw 7S things”, and some could be more specific such as “this month finish refs for characters X, Y and Z”.

General Art Goals

  • MORE SKETCHES. Take a little time each day to sketch or something? It’s sad how little sketches I’ve drawn lately.
  • more illustrations with backgrounds. (This is a thing I always want to accomplish, let’s see when I actually accomplish that, lol)
These are really just drawing-related project goals, I have to think about what I want to do regarding writing projects such as Digimon Eden, and so on. I don’t want to abandon Eden even if it’s been months since I last wrote it. Apparently my writing inspiration is extremely fickle - or then it’s just easy to push back because “the other things are too important”. Also it’s hard for me to think too far ahead right now because I have a ton of comic stuff to draw RIGHT NOW if I want to be able to resume Ghost Syndrome updates on the 7th! So maybe I’ll elaborate on my plans later.
Fight on!!

Woah I seem to totally forget to make journals here nowadays...

Uh, anyway, shortly put, I'll be gone on a week-long roadtrip starting today and until the 23rd. So I won't have an actual access to computers during this time. Take care while I'm off!
When I come back I'll be putting up my new 24 comic! It's a continuation to the old one, so yes, this will feature Stan the deertaur and Simon the human too! Along with some new friends.

See ya all!

Hey guys! I want to write a bit about my goals and such, art-wise and project-wise, for the year 2015.
I have several projects going on right now as you must know, and I’m trying to get a grip with them this coming year since I’ve really let them down for the last months of 2014…

Let’s see how well I’ll be able to follow them. Hopefully well. B<

Project Goals

  • keep up a regular, one-page-a-week update pace for Ghost Syndrome, and on that regard, draw at least 5 pages of comic each month (so maybe I wouldn’t end up without a buffer).
  • write at least one episode of Digimon Eden per month. Write more if you feel like it. Writing inspiration is a bit hard for me to come by but I’ll try!
  • get at least 1-3 digimon evolines drawn every month in the name of the Digimon Redrawing Project.
  • hopefully pick up Seven Suns again more actively, after the Digimon Redrawing Project is done (so hopefully during the summer or so).

General Art Goals

  • try to improve with fluidness of lines and varying body types especially.
  • try to draw more illustrations with actual backgrounds and such. Don’t draw just ref art all the time.
  • try to get back to sketching more carefreely, you did that last year (2013) and it was fun.

I think these will do for now. Hope I’ll manage to live up to my expectations!
